Following from last month’s super drinkable red from Lightfoot & Wolfville, we found it only appropriate to showcase one of the producers fantastic white wine. This wine has led our tasting menu for the entirety of the Autumn season pairing with a tandoori carrot course and it’s a perfect balance of character, aromats and quality. Nicely perfumed and fragrant on the nose with peach & jasmine as well as honey melon and some soft cut grass notes, it grabs your attention. On the palate, there is a fair amount of residual sugar but not overpowering at all making it perfect to take the edge of some higher spices. When pairing with our dishes, it integrates well with anything ginger & chilli led and becomes elegant and refined with fresh mint and lemon notes finding their way to you. Murgh Makhni, Madras or Allepy courses sit nicely!

WINERY & PRODUCTION
Lightfoot & Wolfville are a family owned producer based in Annapolis Valley. Originally from the North of England 9 generations ago, they’ve been a farming family ever since who love their terroir and love wine. Choosing to use parts of their land in 2009 to plant their first vines, releasing their first wine in 2015. They’ve quickly shown how their farming background is transferrable to making exquisite wine. Utilising a blend of Germanic aromatic white varietals, it takes the best from each and compliments the cool, oceanside climate of the vineyward. Fermented in 100% stainless steel highlights primary citrus fruits too and keeps a fresh minerality.
