WINERY & PRODUCTION

Groot Constantia is one of South Africas most popular tourist attraction as the oldest estate in the country! White muscat is complemented by a small percent of red/black muscat giving a rich amber shade. The grapes are grown in a block adjacent the famous manor house around 90 metres above sea leave with a mediterranean climate. It’s a long process with the grapes semi-sun dried harvested in the middle of April before fermenting on the skins with selected yeasts for a week before pressing. Finally they’re racked and transferred into barrels to mature for 24 months.
