WINERY & PRODUCTION

Kyperounda has the highest winery in Europe at 1,140 metres located in the Troodos mountains offering rocky terraces and sandy clay soils with incredible views perfect for an incredible wine holiday but failing that just a great drink to enjoy during a scorching UK summer season! The producers have great respect for tradition but with some state of the art equipment as they focus on gravity fed technique over three levels to concentrate flavour but preserve a natural acidity. The Petritis has no malolactic conversion to retain its fresh personality. The grapes are allowed around half a day of skin contact depending on the temperature with 20% of the wine matured in new oak for 2 months to add a subtle oak to the mix for the final blend!
